Another fabulous Melanie Shawn series. These gals sure know how to hook you in to their charming little worlds. They can do no wrong.

The minute I saw her in that heart-stopping red dress, I knew I'd do whatever it took to make her mine - even if it meant anonymously bidding on myself in the bachelor auction and then pulling strings to make sure that "she" won me.
Unfortunately, she didn't seem to want anything to do with me after the auction, winning bid or not. Still, I'm looking at that as a minor setback. I didn't settle for defeat when I was in the NFL, and I don't plan on starting now. Not when the stakes are this high.
